5. Water storage drums.

water-storage-tanks

It’s no secret that Nyayo estate faces perennial water shortages. The reliance on NWSC to provide fresh water for all the 4800 plus apartments means some days you get little to no water.

Unless you live in phase 5 which has a borehole, the rest of the estate survives by having water storage drums to supplement when Kanjo doesn’t deliver as promised.

Water is pumped a minimum of 2-3 days a week giving you the chance to fill your rooftop tanks & inhouse jerrycans.

Having at least two 500L drums is sufficient to last you a week till the next water pumping day.

It’s also cheaper than buying water from the bowsers which supply the estate at exorbitant prices.

6. Gatepass & Vehicle Stickers.

For any items to to be transported outside the estate you will need to notify the management office in advance so they can provide you with a gatepass for security clearance.

This rule in effect safeguards your property from being moved
without your permission.

Nyayo estate has a Gate B which is a shortcut to Fedha estate  & outering road. Special vehicle stickers are issued to residents only to access this gate.

Visit the management offices with your ID, Lease agreement & Logbook to get a badge.

7. Parking Spots.

Your apartment has a reserved parking spot for one car as part of the amenities.

If you own more than one car you need to smart to get parking & this means invading the visitors parking when no one is watching or get friendly with the neighbors to occupy spots whose owners are away.

It also helps if you ask nicely as most people are always willing to share the parking.

Community Atmosphere.

The estate fosters a sense of community with communal spaces, social events, and organized activities hosted at Malaika park.

This community-centric approach contributes to a friendly and neighborly atmosphere.

Charity fundraisers are also part of the Nyayo Estate culture with donations going to worthy causes.
